Okay, so, like, I went for a walk today. Supposedly it was to "get some fresh air" or whatever, but honestly, I think Mom just wanted me out of the house. The weather was, ugh, slightly overcast but not, like, raining? The temp was okay - I wore my new sweater and now I'm worried someone saw me in it. Anyway...
Started near the Parliament Buildings, which, I guess, are kinda cool? I mean, everyone takes pictures of them. Did you know they have a ghost story about a stonemason who fell and died during construction? Super spooky... or not. I then walked west and I think I ended up near the Supreme Court of Canada, which, let's be real, is probably only interesting if you're, like, *really* into law. Their library is supposed to be pretty amazing. #lawyergirl #jk
After that, I, like, went south, probably past the Library and Archives Canada. Did you know they store Canada's national collection of stuff? I'm pretty sure my embarrassing childhood drawings aren't in there, but you never know. My pace was kinda slow... or maybe it was the right pace for someone who is, you know, enjoying the sites? #lol
I turned around and headed back east after what felt like an eternity and walked past the Canadian War Museum (or maybe I was further south and it was the Ottawa River) I'm not really sure. I mean, wars are, like, super important, but also, super depressing. The museum has a cool collection of tanks, though, so that's, like, kinda cool, I guess. I am planning on a walk around Dow's Lake next time, that's supposed to be beautiful and relaxing.
